Valrhona will be returning to the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes in September. At the booth (located at RH16 Riviera Village) visitors will be encouraged to immerse themselves in the exquisite universe of Valrhona’s century-old craftmanship.

The booth will sport a chic and contemporary design, and design flourishes such as plane and suitcase icons will evoke the excitement of travel. A particular focus on interactivity drove the creative intentions for the stand.

Valrhona will invite visitors to enjoy The Valrhona Chocolate Barista Experience and immerse themselves in the rich world of chocolate beverages crafted in a live demonstration by highly skilled baristas from iconic chocolate fèves, including Blends of Grands Crus and single origins selection. Whether visitors prefer the bold intensity of a Mochaccino or the creamy frothiness of a Cappuccino, the Barista experience promises to offer a wide array of options to suit every palate. Among the specific recipes designed by the baristas is an Autumn-inspired pumpkin spice hot chocolate which will encapsulate the flavours of the season.

Gifting and shopping for loved ones has always been a key element of travel retail, and Valrhona’s Gift Atelier provides travellers with plenty of options to choose the perfect gift. In addition to collections tailored to commemorate world festivals and traditions, it offers a variety of customisation options for creating unique and personalised gift boxes. These include Personalized greeting cards, and Personalized ribbons, that can be customised with personal messages and names.

New products making their first appearance at Cannes will include Valrhona’s Destination collection. With designs featuring the cities of Lyon, Paris and Dubai and further locations to follow, Valrhona’s Destination range is accented with fine details, including gold foil, showcasing the chocolatier’s commitment to elegance and luxury.

Alongside the Destination collection, Valrhona will also unveil its Festive offering, which will include a 2024 Advent Calendar – 24 days of chocolate tasting set inside a beautiful chocolate factory that opens to reveal the inside of the ‘chocolatier’.

Zeyneb Larabi, Head of Global Retail & Travel Retail at Valrhona Selection, said; “We are absolutely thrilled to attend TFWA in Cannes this year! It’s a unique platform that goes beyond a simple showcase of products – it’s where we invite our partners to truly immerse themselves in our Brands experiences. TFWA provides a dynamic environment for us to not only present our latest experiences, like the ‘Gift Atelier’ and the chocolate bar concept, but also to engage in meaningful conversations that can shape future strategies. The event allows us to build deeper connections, collaborate on creative activations, and align our offerings with our partners’ objectives. Cannes is an invaluable opportunity for us to craft shared success stories and drive growth together.

Since our presence in Singapore earlier this year, we’ve seen significant progress in expanding our customer-centred strategies. TFWA has helped us bring features like the Valrhona ‘Gift Atelier’ and customised ribbon printing machine to a wider audience. The positive feedback from Singapore has paved the way for expanding these offerings across Asia and EMEA. The event also allowed us to deepen our relationships with partners, helping us refine our approach to the evolving travel retail market and set the stage for future growth.”

Valrhona will be returning to the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes forming part of Gourmets & Co, a ‘trifecta of excellence’ alongside Valrhona, Villars and Weiss.

Villars to showcase the legacy of Swiss chocolate

at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes

Villars will be returning to the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes later this month. The booth (located at RH16 Riviera Village) will proudly spotlight Villars’ legacy of creating Swiss chocolate masterpieces.

Villars will be guiding chocolate lovers through their range to help them find their perfect taste match through the ‘Villars chocolate quiz’. Guests will be invited to participate in a digital journey, accessed through an interactive station at the booth. They then answer a number of questions about their chocolate preferences and, based on their responses, an algorithm narrows down the vast selection of Villars chocolates to a few tailored recommendations. After discovering their favourite Villars chocolate, participants can indulge in a tasting session and experience its exquisite flavours and textures firsthand.

New products making their first appearance at Cannes will include four new formats of Villars iconic old-fashioned chocolates, in three flavours (‘milk’, ‘milk with wafer’ and ‘dark’) and four different assortments, including one travel exclusive packaging. Villars will also spotlight its new destination range which takes inspiration from iconic travel locations around the world and aims to evoke the atmosphere of these settings through unique flavour profiles and textures.

Villars has been creating the finest chocolate since 1901 from the heart of Fribourg – the home of traditional dairy farming. Villars Maître Chocolatier uses milk of incomparable quality and purity. The variety of the herbs on which the cows feed, the purity of their environment and the care with which they are tended explains the unique taste and smoothness of the milk they produce.

Zeyneb Larabi, Head of Global Retail & Travel Retail at Valrhona Selection, said; ” The prospects in the market are incredibly exciting, particularly as consumers continue to seek unique, personalised, and immersive experiences. The TFWA platform plays a pivotal role in helping us bring this vision to life, allowing us to showcase innovative concepts that deepen customer engagement through personalised touches.

“We’re seeing a shift toward experiential retail, where consumers don’t just purchase a product —they become part of the brand’s story. Our activations, like the VILLARS life-size milking cow at Geneva Airport, are just the beginning of how we plan to create meaningful, memorable interactions with our customers in travel retail.”
