Galeria Filomena Soares is participating in Arco Madrid with two booths. One will dedicated to the various artists of teh gallery and a second to the solo project by Rodrigo Oliveira.
On February 22nd, we will also present the first monographic volume on the work of Pedro Barateiro.

Rodrigo Oliveira will present his solo project for Arco Madrid entitled Derisory Disintegration. The sculpture/installation can be interpreted as an exploration of the conditions for the representation of human development.

How to Make a Mask is the first monographic volume on the work of Pedro Barateiro, reflecting the artist’s multifarious practice. The publication presents a selection of works made between 2008 and 2016, and features extensive visual and written material of key projects presented in solo exhibitions, as well as other pivotal installations, drawings, videos, and performances. New essays by Anders Kreuger, Ana Teixeira Pinto, Els Silvrants-Barclay and Pieternel Vermoortel have been specially commissioned, as well an introduction by João Mourão e Luís Silva, who edited the book with the close participation of the artist. The book is published by Kunstalle Lissabon and Sternberg Press with the support of Galeria Filomena Soares. A limited editions of 200 books features a special intervention on the cover.
