Housed in a gargantuan tent in leafy Regents Park, the world-renowned Frieze art fair presents a week-long resplendent showcase of international art, supported by Frieze Masters. Alongside the main event, satellite fairs and events take place across London, spanning exhibitions, installations and late-night openings. Here are five unmissable events for art collectors and enthusiasts alike, taking place during Frieze Week in London.

Q V A N T U M, House of Fine Art

Zhuang Hong Yi

The House of Fine Art in Mayfair is bolstering its cryptocurrency crown with a new exhibition of work, available to buy using digital currency. World-acclaimed international artists including Zhuang Hong Yi, Joseph Klibansky, Emmanuelle Rybojad and Maxim Wakultschik. Valued at £115 million, it is thought to be the world’s most expensive art collection available to buy through all cryptocurrencies supported by the Uphold platform.

Liu Bolin and Ruinart Champagne, Frieze Art Fair

Whilst navigating the main Frieze art fair, look out for Liu Bolin’s collaborative project with Ruinart champagne. The renowned Chinese artist has created eight champagne-themed artworks, which elegantly place Ruinart protagonists within creative settings.

Laure Prouvost, Frieze Art Fair

As part of the Frieze Live programme, Turner Prize-winning artist Laure Prouvost will present a live piece of work incorporating an opera singer. The singer will perform fragments of private conversation overheard during the fair, highlighting themes of free thought and data protection.

Oh my Toy by Michael Lau, Duddell’s 

Hailed as the ‘Godfather of Designer Toys’, Michael Lau is known for his distinctive illustration and three-dimensional toy figures. A new exhibition of work will be displayed at Duddell’s Cantonese restaurant, which is set in the former St. Thomas’ church in London Bridge.

PAD (Pavilion of Art and Design), Berkeley Square

Also taking place during Frieze Week is PAD London. Set in Mayfair’s Berkeley Square, the decorative-arts fair presents an array of art, photography, sculpture, and design from an international roster of acclaimed galleries.
