EMIRATES ONE&ONLY WOLGAN VALLEY LAUNCHES CULINARY WINTER FESTIVAL
Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, Australia’s ultra-luxury, conservation-based resort, will host a series of unique culinary events highlighting some of Australia’s leading chefs, tastemakers, and winemakers this Winter. Curated by Executive Chef Nancy Kinchela, each gourmet experience will reflect the resort’s culinary philosophy, celebrating the very best of seasonal, regional and, where possible, organic produce, sourced from local boutique farms, private growers and vintners.
The Winter Culinary Festival will launch in June with an unforgettable epicurean weekend from the legendary Bentley Boys, followed by a legendary barbeque in the wilderness hosted by Victor Churchill’s Anthony Puharich. In July, Matt Stafford, Chief Winemaker from New Zealand’s award-winning Craggy Range winery, will host a bespoke wine and cheese tasting as well as an indulgent dinner featuring perfect wine pairings. In August, wine lovers will rejoice with Winemaker’s dinners with Domaine Thomson and Yarra Yering. In addition, guests can experience the Krug Escape, the ultimate luxe picnic created by the king of champagnes, available only to guests of Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley.
Epicurean Escape with the Bentley Boys

Executive Chef Nancy Kinchela has partnered with Sydney’s award-winning Bentley Restaurant + Bar to present an unforgettable epicurean weekend, designed to delight food aficionados and wine connoisseurs alike.
Guests can sample some of the finest local wines from nearby Mudgee and Orange regions, as award-winning sommelier Nick Hildebrandt conducts a wine and cheese tasting for guests to enjoy. As the sun begins to set, a six-course Australian-inspired degustation dinner with alternate courses will be prepared by Bentley’s Brent Savage and Nancy Kinchela.
Victor Churchill

World-famous butcher, Anthony Puharich from Victor Churchill, will host an unforgettable gourmet weekend not to be missed, where guests can experience a masterclass hosted by Anthony himself, including a ‘Talk & Taste’ session and sausage-making skills. In the evening, guests will enjoy a barbeque dinner under the stars at the 1832 Heritage Homestead, a restored historical building within the grounds of Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley. All attendees will receive a complimentary Victor Churchill memento gift including an exclusive apron, Ask the Butcher DVD, Victorinox Boning Knife and Masterclass take-home notes.
Craggy Range Winemakers Dinner
Saturday, 7 July
Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley will welcome the Chief Winemaker from award-winning Craggy Range winery in New Zealand to host a weekend for wine lovers. With over 10 years’ experience at the winery, Matt Stafford produces quality wines from some of the most prestigious winegrowing regions across New Zealand.
Matt will share his passion for fine wine, as guests have the opportunity to sample special Craggy Range vintages with a bespoke wine and cheese tasting. In the evening, guests will enjoy a degustation dinner prepared by Chef Nancy Kinchela accompanied by wines hand-selected by the winemaker himself.
Yulefest

During the month of July, the resort will celebrate the very best of Yulefest, transforming into a spectacular Australian winter wonderland. From crackling bonfires to delicious treats and traditional Christmas feasts, Wolgan guests can experience this unique antipodean celebration of ‘Christmas in July’ set against the picturesque backdrop of the magnificent Greater Blue Mountains.
Domaine Thomson Winemaker’s Dinner

In August, Claudio Heye from Domaine Thomson, a family-owned wine producer with vineyards in both New Zealand and France will visit Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley. Recognised for producing some of the New World’s finest pinot noirs, Domaine Thomson is dedicated to producing unique vintages that showcase the individuality and authenticity of each region. Claudio will host a wine tasting in the afternoon, giving guests the chance to sample some exquisite vintages followed by a degustation dinner in the evening. Nancy Kinchela will prepare a sumptuous menu featuring game meats for guests to enjoy, perfectly paired with Domaine Thomson wines.
Yarra Yering Winemaker’s Dinner

Chief Winemaker, Sarah Crowe, from one of the Yarra Valley’s most iconic vineyards, Yarra Yering winery will share some award-winning vintages with guests during a bespoke wine tasting, paired with the finest local cheeses. With more than 15 years of winemaking experience, Sarah was named Australia’s Winemaker of the Year in the 2017 Halliday Wine Companion Awards. In the evening, Sarah will work closely with Chef Nancy Kinchela to perfectly match Yarra varietals to a sumptuous degustation dinner for all to enjoy.
Krug Escape
From June 2018
From June, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley will introduce an exciting new champagne experience, the Krug Escape, available exclusively to guests of the resort. The king of champagnes has collaborated with Chef Nancy Kinchela to create a delicious gourmet Krug picnic matched with the iconic Krug Grande Cuvée. Guests will be whisked off by four-wheel drive to enjoy their bespoke Krug picnic, complete with Krug blanket, picnic set and branded flutes in the stunning bushland setting; an indulgent and unparalleled wilderness escapade.
