You can also purchase Nutcracker recycled wooden ornaments (HK$50 each) made by the service users of Tin King Workshop of New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, which provides carpentry training for those in recovery from mental illness – thus assisting them to achieve self-reliance and to re-integrate into the community.
Each ornament is painted on one side, with the other side blank, so you can add a personalised holiday wish. Alternatively you can purchase unpainted Nutcracker ornaments which you can decorate yourself. (We encourage you to place the ornaments on our Wishing Tree in the InterContinental Hong Kong Lobby).
All proceeds from the sale of our Nutcracker Mini-Purses and Nutcracker Ornaments go to New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, which promotes mental wellness for people in recovery of mental illness and for their families and the general public with the ultimate goal of equal opportunities, social inclusion, acceptance and full community participation.
