PRINTS & WORKS ON PAPER BY ZAO WOU-KI

A selection of forty-seven prints and five drawings are offered in our online sale Prints & Works on Paper by Zao Wou-Ki. The important collection of a Chinese-born French artist showcases his career over five decades, during which he developed his distinct synthesis of European Modernism and traditional Chinese art and calligraphy. A dedicated printmaker, the collection charts his progress from the lyrically figurative works of the early 1950s to his embracing of abstraction – a creative trajectory that he would pursue for the rest of his life.

THE ART OF CHINA: NEW YORK, SPRING EDITION

The spring edition of The Art of China features a fine selection of Chinese ceramics, works of art and paintings across a range of affordable prices. The sale will present a group of early pottery and ceramics from a distinguished private collection, as well as Chinese paintings from the classical to the contemporary period including works by Zeng Xiaojun and Ding Yanyong from a private American collection.

THE ART OF CHINA: LONDON, SPRING EDITION

20 March – 28 March

The London edition of The Art of China brings together a range of over ninety ceramics, jade and hardstone, paintings, bronze and Buddhist sculptures across the centuries. POST-WAR & CONTEMPORARY, FIRST OPEN – ONLINE

With estimates ranging from £300 to £80,000, First Open offers an unparalleled opportunity to obtain fresh and exciting contemporary artworks at online auction. The sale comprises artworks by German masters Günther Förg and Sigmar Polke, iconic American artists Dan Flavin, Sam Francis and Peter Halley, and contemporary female artists including Karin Kneffel, Kristin Baker and Helen Marten. Works will be on view at our London King Street galleries from 6 to 17 April.

ANDY WARHOL: SUNSETS

Andy Warhol: Sunsets features ten unique screenprints of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean from one of Pop Art’s most acclaimed artists. Pushing the traditional boundaries for editioned prints and blurring the lines between his unique material and his printed editions, the Sunset series is widely considered to be one of Warhol’s most expressive projects.
Works will be on view in our New York galleries from April 14 to 18.
